Begin met ontdekkenThis Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro is the professional brother of the Redmi Note 10 and therefore has a few extras. A smoother 120Hz screen, a sharper 108MP camera and a slightly more powerful processor to name a few. However, there are also things it lacks. What exactly and whether that's a bad thing we'll explain here.
The biggest eye-catcher of the Redmi Note 10 Pro is its 6.67-inch screen. It is an AMOLED panel which is known for its colourful display and high contrast values. The peak brightness is 1200 nits, which makes it easy to read even in full day-light. The FHD+ resolution ensures sharp images and the panel refreshes 120 times every second (120Hz). This makes animations look extra fluid. Xiaomi calls the screen a DotDisplay, which is a reference to the small hole at the top. This is for the 16 megapixel selfie camera. Yet this is not the main camera of the Note 10 Pro, far from it.
In fact, we find those on the back. The most important one is the 108MP camera. That one is also accentuated by a silver ring. The main camera features an f/1.9 wide-angle lens. 9 pixels are combined into 1 superpixel so you actually shoot 12MP photos. Pixel binning is called that and it increases the light sensitivity. As a result, the Note 10 Pro has a better nite mode that lets you shoot brighter photos with more detail at nite. Below the main camera is a 5MP telemacro camera for 2x macro zoom, a 2MP depth camera for portraits, and at the bottom is an 8MP camera with ultra-wide-angle lens. This allows you to capture even more in images, up to 118 degrees. Zooming is mainly done with the 108MP large sensor; digitally, in other words. Zooming with the telemacro camera is only meant to enlarge images from very close by.
This Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 732G processor. That's a mid-range from Qualcomm without 5G support. And that's where this 10 Pro differs from its non-Pro brother. From the Note 10 is namely a 5G version available. The Note 10 Pro is available with 64 or 128GB of storage and 6 GB of RAM memory. Xiaomi also has a variant with 8GB of RAM memory and 128GB of storage but that is not sold everywhere. The battery is on the generous side at 5020 mAh and can also be charged quickly at 33W. That is faster than many competitors. Charging can only be done wired, wireless charging is missing. The housing is made of plastic and is IP53 water splash proof. Full immersion is not recommended.
