OnePlus 11 product description
The OnePlus 11 is a quirky 5G phone with a distinctive look. It is also a flagship with high-end specs for a relatively low price. We try to find out whether that also makes it a good phone.
With the help of Hasselblad
We can't discuss the OnePlus 11 without mentioning its rear camera module. Where many other companies don't spend much time on design, OnePlus has gone all in. The round camera module stands out, sticks out, and contains three third-generation Hasselblad cameras. OnePlus is focussing on this feature. However, it could also use all the help in the world if OnePlus wants to take on Samsung, Apple, and Google. Despite the Hasselblad name, these are, in fact, Sony cameras; a 50MP primary camera with an f/1.8 lens, a 32MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom, and a 48MP ultra-wide-angle with a wide 115° lens. It can shoot video up to 8K, and plenty of Hasselblad filters are available for natural-looking shots.

Fast charging thanks to SuperVOOC
The front of the OnePlus 11 has been cleared for a 6.7-inch screen with a smooth 120Hz playback. The screen supports Dolby Vision by storing 10 bits of information per pixel. This results in the colour reproduction of more than 1 billion. Despite the screen's size, it is still energy efficient thanks to LTPO technology. When not needed, the refresh rate is reduced from 120 to 1x per second to save power. The built-in battery is reasonable at 5000mAh, but what is remarkable about it is how fast it can be charged. Up to a whopping 100W thanks to SuperVOOC technology. From 0 to 100% in less than half an hour. Wireless charging is still missing, unfortunately.

Fast and long safe
The OnePlus 11 is powerful, too. Thanks to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. This chipset rivals the fastest on the planet and guarantees that your OnePlus 11 is a true flagship. Furthermore, thanks to the optimisations OnePlus has made to OxygenOS, which is Android-based, the device feels even smoother and more responsive. Also helping is the amount of RAM, from 8 up to 16GB, which is very generous, even in this premium category. The OnePlus 11 is also future-proof; for instance, it can already handle WiFi 7 should that be widely available. OnePlus promises no less than four Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates. How reassuring.

Videos about the OnePlus 11

"Witness the shape of power." What exactly OnePlus means by that when they talk about the OnePlus 11 5G is beyond us. But a beautiful video it is! And a beautiful phone!

OnePlus strapped a OnePlus 11 to a drone, which not only produces very nice images of the English landscape, but also shows how good the Hasselblad camera is
