Apple sells 6,9 million iPhone’s
Apple has announced last week that it has sold 6.9 million copies of the new iPhone 3G last quarter. That are 800.000 copies more than the 6.1 million first generation iPhones that were sold the last 5 quarters.
Steve Jobs announced this last week. Not only did Apple sell more devices than its competitor BlackBerry, it also has with the current numbers the number 3 position of mobile phone producers! Even Steve Jobs was surprised.
Apples target was to sell 10 million devices by the end of the year. They really succeeded in this. Apple seems also pretty imune for the financial crisis. The stock Apple won 8% last week.
