Samsung Galaxy M52 5G quietly announced

Samsung has announced the Galaxy M52 with support for 5G. The device appeared on Samsungs own website without a press release. Gone is the quadruple camera and gone is the 7000 mAh large battery. In its place we now get 5G.

For a successor, we find the Galaxy M52 5G a bit peculiar. The 7000 mAh battery has been swapped for a 5000 mAh one and the number of cameras also goes down. On the back is now a 64MP main camera, 12MP ultra wide angle and 5MP macro camera. That means the 5MP depth camera of the M51 is gone.

The new Galaxy M52 5G

Samsung mainly targets a young audience with the Galaxy M series, bringing phones with a long battery life and decent cameras. The decrease in battery capacity is especially noticeable here, altho Samsung expects that you can easily get thru the day. If not there is always 25W fast charging available. The screen does appear to be unchanged; a 6.7-inch Infinity-O Display with a colourful AMOLED panel. In it there is no fingerprint recognition, instead it is found in a button on the right side.

5G support

The main thing Samsung wanted to bring was 5G support. And that's immediately why we'll see this M52 in more countries than the M51 which wasn't released anywhere. The device has an as yet unknown suggested retail price but will be available with 128GB of storage memory and in black, blue and white colours.
