Apple investigates issues with iOS4 on iPhone 3G
Apple is about to look at problems with iPhone 3G and the new operating system iOS4. On Apple's support forums, owners of the older generation iPhone are reporting issues with their smartphone after upgrading to the new OS.
The 3G, the oldest model that works with iOS4, is said to drain battery and become slow after upgrading. Rumours of the issues surfaced before, and made some expert-bloggers advise not to upgrade.
Still in use by many people
iPhone 3G was launched in July 2008. Anyone buying an iPhone between that date and July 2009 got the model that has issues now. Being sold with a two year contract in most cases, many iPhone owners are still using the 3G.
