iPhone 4 Jailbroken and Unlocked
Two technicians who operate under the Nicknames MuscleNerd and Planetbeing have succeeded in jailbreaking and unlocking the new iPhone. Their efforts enable iPhone owners to use Apple's new smartphone on any network.
As an effect of the jailbreak, all restrictions that Apple put to prevent installing software that wasn't obtained in the App Store are gone. Using Cydia, an alternative for the App Store, all kind of apps can be installed, even if they have not been approved by Apple.
One week slower
After the launch of each new iPhone, the strive to be the first to hack into an iPhone starts. Succes came three weeks after the release of the fourth edition of the popular smartphone. The previous iPhone, 3GS, was jailbreaked a week quicker.
