
New MeeGo screenshots
A few new screenshots of the MeeGo OS have surfaced on the official facebook group of the project. Unfortunately, the pictures are renders. No shots of the system in action yet.
Interesting detail is that one of the the screenshots is showing the Meego's phone application. When we tested the Alpha release on our N900 a few weeks ago, this option - quite important for a phone actually - was not available. Furthermore, the lock screen, applications menu and photo albums have been captured.
Intel and Nokia
The new OS is the result of the merge of Intel's Moblin and Nokia's Maemo. Both are Linux-based operating systems for mobile devices. The chip maker and the phone manufacturer announced their partnership at the Mobile World Congress, this February. Now take a look at the new pictures:
