HMD Global announces rugged Nokia XR21
The maker of Nokia phones has announced a new rugged Nokia smartphone; the XR21. According to the company, it is the modern-day equivalent of the ikonic 3310. The XR21 should also be nearly indestructible and have long battery life.
To live up to that claim, the Nokia XR21 features a MIL-STD-810H rugged and IP68/69K waterproof body. In addition, the glass front is made of Gorilla Glass Victus. This makes the device resistant to falls from 1.8 metres high and waterproof to 1.5 metres deep for at least one hour. Neat but certainly not unique.

The Nokia XR21 features a 6.49-inch colour display with a maximum brightness of 550 nits. A new feature is the higher screen refresh rate of 120Hz, making animations look much smoother. On the back, the primary camera has become sharper thanks to a 64MP sensor, and selfies are also sharper thanks to the higher 13MP resolution. What remains the same is the stereo speakers with OZO playback.
