Android Market welcomes application no. 30000
The Android Market goes fast. New applications are launched every day, the count has recently exceeded the 30 thousand mark.
The Android Market is not as big as the App Store by Apple, but they are well on their way. Surprisingly this information has not come from Google, but from Mobile Crunch.
The 20 thousand mark was reached 3 months ago. Again it wasn't Google that brought us this news but a company that specializes in searching Android apps. Google corrected this by reporting that there where only 16 thousand apps in store.
About 40% of the entire app store are paid applications while the other 60% are free.
