Expansys reveals Samsung Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone
It happens more often nowadays that well known sales channels are revealing information about the newest mobile phones. As happened this time, because Expansys revealed three Samsung devices. One of those is even a new Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone.
So we'll just start with that one; the Samsung Pivot. While most producers are turning their backs to the Windows Mobile platform, Samsung is launching a new smartphone using the not yet officially Windows Mobile 6.5 OS.
The Pivot will probably look quite a bit like the business i780, at least when we can believe the rumours that the Pivot is its follower. The Pivot will probably also have the same features as the i780, although improved, like a 5 megapixel camera.
Samsung Louve
Moreover, Samsung is also still producing devices with the current Windows Mobile 6.1. We can therefore expect that the Louve will be announced officially somewhat earlier than the Pivot. The Louve is having a full QWERTY keyboard that can be tipped while slided out. We already saw this tric at the HTC TyTN II and the new Nokia N97.
We can also tell you that the device will have a 3.2 megapixel camera and it has the Widgets we also saw on the i900 Omnia.
Samsung B2100
Also the smaller brother of the rough B2700 is revealed by the gentlemen of Expansys. The B2100 will be somewhat more simple than the B2700, and has no 3G network features. The flash is also missing. The device is IP54 certified, so it can deal with some splashes.
We hope to find the devices at the MWC in Barcelona in a week. To be continued!
