Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has best phone screen, according to DxOMark
The "Best Screen in a Phone" list has a new number one. According to a comprehensive test by DxOMark, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra currently has the best screen you can find in a phone.
Last October 2023, DxOMark awarded the title to the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. Now, a few months later, the trophy goes to Samsung. In particular, it is the Galaxy S24 Ultra that scores very well in the display test by DxOMark.
In particular, the screen's outdoor readability is praised. This is likely due to the Gorilla Glass Armour, which prevents reflection. The S24 Ultra is the first, and at the time of writing, only one that utilises that type of glass.
DxOMark shows an image in which the difference with the S23 Ultra, iPhone 15 Pro Max and Pixel 8 Pro can be clearly seen.
Shared second place
The Galaxy S24+ and the regular S24 also score well and currently share second place with the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro.
For Samsung to score even better next year, it should do something about video clarity in the dark. According to DxOMark, it is a bit too bright. This goes for all the S24 models.
Camera not in top 10
In addition to screens, DxOMark also tests cameras. Interestingly, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra does not appear in the top 10. The device takes spot 18. To make matters even worse, this is the highest ranking for a Samsung phone. The best camera can be found in the Huawei Mate 60 Pro+.
