The realme C31 is a relatively simple phone from the C series with a stylish look and a large battery with correspondingly long battery life. And because it is relatively simple, it is also relatively inexpensive, which is a nice bonus. Whether it is worth considering, we will try to find out here.
Anyone looking at the C31 would not say we are dealing with a cheap phone here. It does not look cheap. It looks quite lovely and the distinctive camera module on the back is reminiscent of much more expensive smartphones. The back scatters incoming light and gives a premium effect. In addition, it is quite thin at 8.4 millimeters and the rounded sides make it comfortable to hold.
Those who dove further into the specifications do come to the conclusion that this is a budget model. The main camera has a 13MP sensor and that's not much these days. But it is sharp enough for everyday pictures. Moreover, this is a Sony sensor and they make high-quality cameras. The other two cameras are a 2MP black and white and a 2MP macro camera. Not very special and so quickly on to something else. The selfie camera for example. This is a relatively simple 5MP one that suffices for simple self-portraits.
Realme further provides the C31 with a 6.5-inch display which they call Fullscreen. It owes this name to the small screen bezels that make 88.7% of the front of the display. This panel displays images with an HD resolution. Inside we find a Chinese-made Unisoc T612 processor. This is an entry-level processor with corresponding performance. There are 2 memory versions available; 3+32GB and 4+64GB. The former is the RAM memory and is available to the processor, the latter is the storage memory. It's not completely free because the Android operating system also takes up space. Keep that in mind when choosing the amount of memory. Incidentally, you can expand that memory if you want to up to 1TB via a microSD memory card.
