The Sony Xperia 10 III is a more affordable Xperia phone but still undoubtedly a Sony phone. But above all, it is a 5G phone and therefore ready for the future. You can read more about what else this phone excels in as we dive deeper into all its possibilities.
Sony themselves sum up the Xperia 10 III with these 3 things; 5G support, large battery and a compact body. This emphasizes what has improved over its predecessor, the Xperia 10 II. That did not yet have 5G, had a 900 mAh smaller battery and was despite the same screen size still a bit larger. It is still a spacious 6 inches, is of the colorful type of OLED and with a FHD + resolution razor sharp. The only thing you might miss is the high refresh rates found in more expensive models.
The camera has also been improved, although there are still three differences; a 12MP wide-angle with 27mm lens for everyday work, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle (16mm) for wider shots, and an 8MP telephoto lens (54mm). Especially the latter is remarkable; usually manufacturers save a separate zoom lens for their more expensive models. With a zoom lens you can get images closer without sacrificing image quality. Hybrid, with which optical and digital are combined, can even do that up to 10x. On the front we also find an 8MP camera sensor, this time equipped with a bright f/2.0 lens. Sony has equipped its cameras with numerous Sony camera techniques, including SteadyShot (image stabilization), pet recognition and Auto HDR. That combined with AI (artificial intelligence) should ensure that you almost always get a nice picture.
Sony is one of the few phone manufacturers that still pays a lot of attention to sound. The Xperia 10 III is therefore one of the few phones that still has an old-fashioned headphone input. You can easily plug your own favorite headphones into this 3.5mm port. The sound quality sounds just a bit better thanks to the DSEE Ultimate technology, because recordings are automatically improved for you. And LDAC support means you can enjoy high resolution audio wirelessly, too. Listen to music anywhere, even by the pool. The Xperia 10 III is IP65/68 waterproof, features tough Gorilla Glass 6 and has a long battery life of 4500mAh. And with a 30W charger, you can refuel extra fast when needed. All in all, the 10 III is a modest but welcome improvement over its predecessor.
