Screen without extra frills

You could easily overlook the Galaxy M13 is Samsung's range. Not surprising either because it also looks so much like other Galaxy phones. Starting with that 6.6-inch Infinify-V screen. We see it on almost every other cheaper Galaxy phone. Samsung applies a slightly higher FHD+ resolution on the M13. This makes text just a little sharper. On the other hand, the screen is not extra smooth like some other Galaxy phones. By not refreshing images more often than 60 times per second, animations such as transitions and scrolling through a list do not look as smooth as they could.

The right three cameras

On the back of the Galaxy M13, Samsung applies a 50MP main camera with sharp f/1.8 lens. That shoots razor-sharp pictures but make sure you have enough ambient light because optical image stabilization (OIS) is missing. You will also find a 5MP ultra-wide-angle camera for extra-wide shots up to 123 degrees. This is ideal for capturing landscapes or cityscapes. The third camera is a depth camera that allows you to extra blur backgrounds. Portrait photos then come out even better. What is thankfully missing is that unnecessary 2MP macro camera you see so often. In that respect, Samsung applies the right trio.

At 5000mAh, the M13's battery capacity is now average. This is actually too short, as it is sufficient for more than a day of intensive use. Charging is possible with a maximum of 15W, which is not really fast. So take your time. What is fast is the processor. It runs at an unbeatable 2.0 GHz and has 4GB of RAM memory. The storage memory is up to 128GB and also expandable by another 1TB by inserting a microSD memory card. Also plugging into the M13 is headphones. The device simply features an old-fashioned 3.5mm audio jack input.
