Samsung Galaxy A10 product details
The Samsung Galaxy A10 is a budget phone from Samsung with a correspondingly low price but for which you get the necessary in return. A modern looking smartphone with a lot of specs for entry-level concepts. Which exactly and what you can do with it, we explain here.
Big screen, still bright outdoors
The Galaxy A10 is the entry-level model from Samsung's updated Galaxy A series that it launched in 2019. With this, the A-series followed the entry-level Galaxy J-series that looked a lot less premium. This A10 may be the entry-level model, but it certainly does not look cheap. And that while the selling price is not expensive. It all starts with the screen. Samsung applies its Infinity Display which we also find in (much) more expensive models. Characteristic are the thin screen edges and the large surface area. In the Galaxy A10 we find a 6.2 inch screen, which is very large in this price category. By the way, this is not Samsung's bright AMOLED that is easy to read outdoors. Instead, it is a 'normal' TFT screen. But because of the Adaptive Display-option it is also easy to read in sunlight.

Plastic housing with built-in battery
The housing of the Galaxy A10 is not made of glass or metal but of 'old-fashioned' plastic. That sounds cheap but that is exactly why the A10 has such a low price tag. Moreover, plastic has advantages that metal or glass do not have. It doesn't break easily, it doesn't crack and it doesn't feel so cold in winter. The back has a slightly glossy coating that is available in different colors. This makes it look a bit premium after all. Despite the plastic back it is not removable, which also applies to the battery. At 3400 mAh it is the average size, but thanks to the modest screen resolution it will last for a day. Moreover, the battery is quick to charge, something you don't often see in this price category.

- 13-megapixel rear camera with FHD video and AR stickers
- 5-megapixel front with facial recognition
- Samsung octacore processor (Exynos 7884) up to 1.6 GHz
- Dual SIM support (2x nanoSIM)
- Ability to place memory cards (up to max. 512GB)

Single camera, no fingerprint scanner
The Galaxy A10 is one of the few new A models with a single camera on the back. It is a 13 megapixel model with a bright f/1.9 lens. This is sufficient for everyday snapshots, but make sure you have enough light and a steady hand. Movement stabilization is missing. You can give your creativity free rein by the presence of AR-stickers, various filters and stamps. At the front we find a 5 megapixel shooter for selfies. This is located in the Infinity V screen in a small notch. Besides selfies, this camera can also unlock your A10. This is no superfluous luxury because the camera lacks a fingerprint scanner. That can be a dealbreaker, especially because there are competitors that do have one.
