Start exploringThe POCO M3 Pro is everything the POCO M3 has with a little more. So this time it has 5G support and a smooth screen display. And all of that still in a quirky body. How this all translates into everyday life we're going to try and find out here.
For not a whole lot of money, a 5G phone with a smooth 90Hz screen, a triple camera of up to 48MP and a 5000 mAh large battery. That in a nutshell is the POCO M3 Pro. The observant reader will say that this battery is smaller than the 6000 mAh in the POCO M3. That's true, but 5000 mAh is still bigger than many a phone and should get you well over a day (and a little more). Charging here is also done with a maximum of 18W. Most of the power goes to the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor with 5G support. This chipset is slightly more powerful than Qualcomm's Snapdragon 662 in the Poco M3 but its GPU is much faster. Gaming is therefore much smoother. The M3 Pro is also helped by the 90Hz screen. Due to this high refresh rate, animations look much smoother.
POCO uses a 6.5-inch display with sharp FHD+ resolution on the M3 Pro that is protected by sturdy Gorilla Glass. The fingerprint scanner is on the side and looking at the back, we notice the special design. The slightly curved back has a glossy finish with the camera angle sprayed black. In it, we find a 48MP main camera, a 2MP macro camera for extreme close-ups and a 2MP depth camera that helps in taking portrait photos. For everyday photos, this is fine, but if you really want more with your phone camera, then there are better options imaginable. For example, one with an ultra-wide-angle camera.
The POCO M3 Pro is also equipped with infrared that can be used as a TV remote control, a regular 3.5mm headphone input and a Dual Sim slot. The latter is handy because both SIM cards can be registered via 5G. Often we see that only 1 slot can handle 5G. In contrast to the Poco M3, the memory on this M3 Pro cannot be expanded afterwards. So, you will have to think carefully beforehand whether 64 or 128GB of storage memory is enough for you. A part of that is also taken up by the Android operating system. Take this into account when choosing a variant.
