Start exploringThe Nokia G11 is an affordable smartphone from a well-known brand. While it is a simple device, it is one that is maintained for years with software updates. What else you get with this G11 we explain here.
The Nokia G11 is one of the cheapest Android smartphones you can buy. Normally, you will see manufacturers then use Android Go Edition. That's a stripped-down version of Android meant for simpler hardware. The G11, however, uses a full-fledged Android version. At the time of release, that was version 11 but updates up to Android 13 have been promised. Security updates roll in for three years after time of release. That's longer than comparable phones in this price range. Neat we call that.
The front of the G11 consists of a 6.5-inch screen with HD+ resolution. Due to the higher screen refresh rate of 90Hz, transitions look smooth. The selfie camera is neatly incorporated into a notch in the screen. This is an 8MP one for self-portraits. On the back, we find three more cameras. A 13MP main camera, 2MP depth and 2MP macro camera. So with this triple camera you can shoot an acceptable photo for any situation. It is a pity that a wide-angle camera is missing to capture complete landscapes, for example.
The Nokia G11 claims to have a battery life of three days. That seems a bit optimistic to us, but two days should be achievable. As such, how fast the battery drains is not a big deal because you recharge it extra fast. With 18W maximum, you're never stuck at the wall outlet for long. What is silly is that there is a 10W charger in the box. So you'll have to buy the corresponding charger for that extra 8W. And while we're complaining, the Unisoc T606 processor is no speed monster either. As a result, it feels a bit sluggish at times.
