Nokia 8210 4G product details

The Nokia 8210 4G is a classically designed featurephone with contemporary functionality. It is based on the iconic 8210 from 1999 but has features that are useful today. Which ones they are, and which ones they are not, we explain to you here.

With internet, not WhatsApp

Feature phones are increasingly popular. They don't offer as many distractions as a smartphone but you're still just connected to the world around you. For example, you can just use them to access 4G Internet. Visiting Internet pages, making calls or checking Facebook. You can do it with this 8210 4G. WhatsApp, on the other hand, this phone cannot, which the Nokia 8110 4G can do. Radio listening is possible thanks to the built-in FM receiver. You don't even need to have the headphones plugged in to listen to the radio. The FM antenna is built-in.

Built like a tank

This Nokia 8210 4G is not only reminiscent of the Nokia's of yesteryear, it behaves accordingly. For example, the battery lasts for days, is even removable and therefore swappable. The device is also built like a tank. Virtually indestructible but not waterproof. For that, check out the Nokia 800 Tough. On the back of the 8210 4G is a single camera for very simple snapshots. It is, in fact, a VGA camera. That's 0.3 megapixels converted. You won't win any prizes with that, but something is better than nothing.

Main Nokia 8210 4G specifications

  • 2.8-inch QVGA screen with 240x320 pixel resolution (no touch screen)
  • 0.3MP VGA rear camera for very easy photos
  • Swappable 1450mAh large battery gives days of use
  • FM radio (both wired and wireless listening)
  • Various games including Snake
  • Memory card slot for microSD cards up to 32GB
  • Suitable for 4G internet thanks to built-in internet browser
  • Space for two nano SIM cards

Snake and Tetris

The Nokia 8210 4G does not use Android or any other mobile platform for which you can download apps. So you'll have to make do with the apps that come pre-installed. One of them is Snake. The popular game that every Nokia used to come out with. Besides Snake, there are other games on it including Tetris, BlackJack and Doodle Jump. There is also an MP3 player (do insert a memory card first) and space for a second SIM card. Handy, because you can then be reached on two numbers.

Hahaha, MrNokia does sum up the Nokia 8210 4G quite nicely; "perhaps the ultimate Snake machine!" Or are we selling it short with that?
