Pro and cons Nokia 2.4

  • Android One + updates
  • Finnish design
  • Decent battery life
  • Large screen
  • Competition offers more for less

Nokia 2.4 product details

The Nokia 2.4 is an Android One smartphone with 2 days battery life and a low price. But what exactly can you do with it? We're going to explain that and more here.

Worry free updates

The Nokia 2.4 is part of the 2-series, which makes it not as entry-level as say, a Nokia 1.4. The latter runs the heavily depreciated Android Go; this Nokia 2.4 uses a full-fledged Android version. The fact that HMD Global (the maker of this Nokia) chooses Android One means it will get updates for a long time to come, and it also feels fast. You'll even get another upgrade to Android 12 once it's out. Security updates will also continue to roll in monthly for the next 3 years. This makes the Nokia 2.4 a worry-free purchase that won't feel outdated anytime soon.

Big screen with big battery

The Nokia 2.4 is equipped with a 6.5-inch large HD+ screen. That is on the large side and therefore it is not extremely compact. A large screen is handy for watching content like video. You can do that for a long time thanks to the built-in 4500 mAh battery with Adaptive Battery mode. This analyzes how you use your phone and automatically puts seldom-used apps to sleep. This way they don't use up power unnecessarily. Unfortunately, fast charging is not possible, so it's advisable to charge the battery every day. This can only be done via a somewhat old-fashioned microUSB cable. The disadvantage of this cable is that you can only plug it into your phone in one way.

Most important Nokia 2.4 specifications

  • 6.5 inch V-notch screen with HD+ resolution
  • 13+2MP camera with depth recognition and LED flash
  • 5MP selfie camera for video calling
  • Android One with 3 years of promised upgrades and updates
  • Low-end MediaTek Helio P22 processor with 2GB of RAM memory
  • 32GB storage (expandable up to max 512GB)
  • 4500mAh battery with 2 days of battery life, no fast charging

Finnish design

In terms of camera, this Nokia 2.4 also keeps it simple. On the front, we find a single 5MP selfie camera; on the back, a double camera (13+2MP). That is a bit meager and the competition offers more for the same money nowadays. And that is the biggest drawback of the 2.4. In this price category, the competition usually has better options. True, without Android One, but you can get more for your money. About the finishing we have little to complain. It is more than fine and reminiscent of Nokia's Finnish roots. The plastic body has a nano-textured finish that feels solid in your hand and is not sensitive to dirty fingerprints.
