The Motorola Moto G51 5G is an affordable 5G smartphone with a high-end screen. Extremely sharp, extremely smooth but also extremely large. Whether it's too big for you and what other advantages and disadvantages the G51 has we're going to explore for you here.
The Motorola Moto G51 is one of the more affordable 5G phones on the market today. So what makes it special is that it is equipped with a smooth 120Hz display. Animations like scrolling through a list look twice as smooth as a regular 60Hz screen because of this. It is also a fairly large screen of no less than 6.8 inches. So you do not store it very inconspicuously in a pocket but that extra large screen size is useful for watching movies or gaming.
Motorola uses a 50MP main camera on the back of the G51 5G that merges 4 pixels into 1. This Quad Pixel technology ensures that you can take clear photos even at night without flash. There is also a sharp 13MP camera with 118° ultra-wide-angle lens. Competitor phones tend to offer lower resolution. There is a third camera on the back; a 2MP macro camera. Motorola calls this Macro Vision and in theory you can take sharp, close-up photos with it, but in practice the resolution is too low. That story does not apply to the selfie camera. With 13MP, it is particularly sharp for this price category. It is also nice that there is a special mode where you can record a video with both the selfie camera and main camera. This is called Dual Capture.
Inside we find a 5000mAh large battery with 10W charging. Fast can't be called that so set aside enough time for it. Once charged, you won't have to look for an outlet again soon. Several days of use should be possible. The processor helps here somewhat because the relatively simple Snapdragon 480 Plus processor is not known as a big energy eater. Finally, a word of warning. The Moto G51 5G has an IP rating of IP52 which does not make it completely waterproof but it is splashproof. A drop here or there is no problem but we do not recommend going underwater.
