Start exploringThe Motorola Moto G22 is a modest 4G smartphone at an equally modest price. Low price on not, you do get an Android phone with 50MP camera, smooth 90Hz screen and large 5000mAh battery.
It's good to see that Lenovo, Motorola's parent company, has applied a premium screen to an otherwise budget model. Normally at these kinds of amounts, we see a notch, aka a notch at the top of the screen. But the Moto G22 uses a modern punch-hole for the selfie camera. This is less noticeable and therefore delivers an uninterrupted experience. Neat also about the 6.5-inch screen is that images refresh 90 times per second. This delivers a smoother display, something that comes in handy when scrolling through lists or while gaming.
Turning the Moto G22 over, our eye catches the quad-pixel camera. The main camera consists of a 50MP sensor with bright f/1.8 lens. Motorola applies Quad Pixel technology which merges four pixels into one. This results in better exposed shots. Unfortunately, optical image stabilization is missing so make sure you have enough light to avoid blurred photos. Also present is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with wide 118° viewing angle, a 2MP depth camera for portrait mode and a 2MP macro camera for extreme close-ups. Video shoots in up to FHD (1080p) at 30 frames per second. The front selfie camera shoots up to 16 megapixels which is sharp enough for your best self-portraits.
Inside, the Moto G22 uses a MediaTek Helio G37 processor with 4GB of RAM memory (RAM). This does not make it a real powerhouse. There is 64GB of built-in storage memory which is expandable with a microSD card up to 1TB. There is also room for a second nano SIM card. You don't have to share that slot with the memory card so you can insert both. Also built-in is a 5000mAh large battery which is more than enough for a day of heavy use. Too bad it doesn't do fast charging though. Charging goes with a maximum of 10W.
