Honor 9X product details
The Honor 9X is a striking looking smartphone for a remarkably low price. In spite of that, it still has impressive and premium features. What to think of an extendable selfie camera, triple camera and a large battery?
Quirky character
A 6.59 inch big screen, without interruptions, a triple 48MP camera and a 4000 mAh large battery. That must be an expensive phone, right? And yet the 9X is not. Honor is a sister of Huawei and therefore you see many similarities. Not only with used components like the Kirin processor but even his whole appearance. This 9X is very similar to the Huawei P Smart Z. By the way, there are enough differences to give the 9X a completely unique character. For example, it has a completely different camera system. On the back of the 9X, next to a 48MP main camera, you will find an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 120° angle of view and a 2MP depth camera. His Huawei image has only 2 cameras.

Advantages and disadvantages popup-selfie
And yet most of the attention goes to the front. Especially when the screen is on. There is no interruption in the screen. No notch, no screen border and no punch-hole. The selfie camera is in the housing and slides up when you need it. This pop-up camera slides up in 1 second and retracts itself when you're done. This makes it less suitable to shoot a selfie quickly or to use it for face recognition.

Never bothered by Blue Monday
The Honor 9X also gets an ample 128GB of storage memory. This can be expanded even further by inserting a microSD memory card (up to 512GB). You do sacrifice the 2nd SIM card slot for this. So you can choose between 1 SIM card + memory card or 2 SIM cards. The fingerprint scanner is on the back and behind it is a 4000 mAh battery. Charging is via a handy USB-C cable and that is also the only way to charge it. This 9X just runs Android with Google apps on top of Huawei's own skin called EMUI. Besides an even black version, there is a blue version available that looks a lot more attractive. That stripe effect is something the black version lacks.
