Symmetrical front

Asus, like its predecessors, has designed the ROG Phone 6 quite traditionally. The screen is totally unbroken, with no cutouts or holes for cameras. There are thin bars above and below the screen, but they are put to good use. Namely, they contain speakers. Because these are forward-facing and dual, you have good-sounding stereo sound. You can also simply plug in your own headphones thanks to the presence of a 3.5mm audio jack. The screen of the ROG Phone 6 measures a spacious 6.78 inches and refreshes images no less than 165 times per second. Smooth images are therefore guaranteed.

More cooling for heated gaming sessions

Inside, we find a powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor from Qualcomm with a whopping 12GB for the model with 256GB of storage, and 16GB for the version with 512GB of storage. To combat throttling, Asus has adopted a highly effective cooling system. Thanks to an 85% larger graphite plate and vapor chamber, the ROG Phone 6 can get rid of its heat better. Should you need more, you can attach the optionally available AeroActive Cooler 6 on the back. This external fan brings additional cooling thanks to AI.

Outstanding camera choices

Long gaming is made possible by the 6000mAh large battery. Because it is in two parts, Asus can charge it faster. The ROG Phone 6 supports Quick Charge 5.0 and USB Power Delivery charging up to a whopping 65 watts. With the included HyperCharge charger, you can fully charge your ROG Phone 6 in a whopping 42 minutes, according to Asus. Outside of gaming, shoot photos with the triple camera consisting of a 50MP main camera, 13MP ultra-wide-angle and 5MP macro camera. We would have liked a telephoto camera for optical zooming but it's missing. Perhaps even worse, optical image stabilization is missing. What is new this time is the housing's resistance to splashing water. With a rating of IPX4, it is not waterproof but it is the first time that an Asus ROG phone is resistant to splashing water.
