Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 get larger screens
The advantage of a foldable is that it manages to cram a large screen into a small body. Samsung wants to emphasize that fact even more and will soon give the Flip 7 and Fold 7 an even larger screen. At least that's what an insider claims.
As a screen connoisseur, Ross Young knows what he's talking about. Via a tweet, he already reports the screen sizes of the yet-to-be-announced Flip 7. and Fold 7. The latter gets an 8-inch folding screen, just like the Fold Special Edition.
And the similarities don't end there, because according to Ross, the Fold 7 will be virtually identical to the aforementioned Fold Special Edition. Including a larger 6.5-inch outer screen and, hopefully, the thinner casing as well, though Ross is not commenting on the latter.
Galaxy Z Flip 7
The Flip 7 grows from 6.7 to 6.85 inches while the cover screen goes to the 4-inch mark. In doing so, the Flip series grew from 1.1 inches on the first generation to 1.9 inches on the Flip 3 to 3.4 inches on the Flip 5 and soon possibly 4 inches.
Information about the next generation of Galaxy Z models comes relatively early. Samsung usually announces new foldable models in the fall, which at the time of writing is still many months away. In addition to the Flip and Fold, another foldable is in the works; one that consists of three parts. This tri-foldable is not expected until 2026.
