Samsung Galaxy S25+ in real life and released prematurely

Photos have surfaced showing the Samsung Galaxy S25+. Not only is this premature, as Samsung has yet to officially announce the device, there is more strange about the photos. Let's take a closer look at them.

This appears to be a working copy of the S25+. At least, we see a working screen and on it we read type number SM-S936U, the likely type number of the S25 Plus. But there is also quite a bit of masking.

For example, there is a sticker in front of the cameras that reads "NO PHOTOS." Why is unclear. Furthermore, certain parts of the device are shielded and the background is blurred. Possibly to disguise the identity of the owner. But that could not prevent us from seeing something else, something hitherto unknown.

Is it a button? Is it an antenna?

Below the power button, we see something that is recessed. Something very similar to the Camera Control Button on recent iPhones. That's a touch-sensitive button to control the camera. So far, we had not seen any rumors of Samsung taking that same route.

A more logical explanation is that here we are looking at the mmWave antenna for extra-fast 5G Internet. These higher 5G frequencies (from 26 GHz) are not yet used in Europe but are used in the US and South Korea. mmWave versions of the Galaxy S24 show a similar notch.
