Firmware Update Friday is Android-only this week. Multiple manufacturers have released a new Android version for their handsets. Great!
Samsung i9000 Galaxy S - Android 2.2 Froyo
Users of the Galaxy S get an Over the Air update to the latest version of Android. You will be presented a message that the update is ready to be downloaded. The update may be quite large, so to save a data plan usage, get it when you're in reach of a WiFi connection.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini (pro) - Android 2.1
Do you have a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro or a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini? The you can upgrade to Android 2.1. Watch the video below for instructions:
Motorola DEXT - Android 2.1
Owners of the Motorola DEXT can expect an Over the Air update for their handset. For them, we have the same advise as for Galaxy S users: only update over WiFi.
Motorola Backflip - Android 2.1
Users of thé Motorola Backflip get an Over the Aire upgrade. It's best to update over WiFi.
