LG picks dualcore processor for new top models
LG's future flagships will be fitted with a dualcore processor that is manufactured by Nvidia. The deal between both parties was announced today. The processor chosen, the Tegra 2, has a frequency of 1Ghz.
The Nvidia Tegra 2 brings HD multimedia to the smartphone. The processor has a built-in Nvidia Geforce graphical chipset. A phone that has this chip on board can play 1080p video via HDMI. LG has planned to use the new processor in its high-end series Optimus. The latest phone that was presented in these series was the Optimus 7, a Windows Phone 7 Handset.
