Possible first images of Google Pixel 9a released
Should Google stick to its tradition of announcing the Pixel A in May, it will be some time before the Pixel 9a is announced. And yet the first images appear to be in. Featuring yet another revamped camera layout.
Google phones have been known to leak early by now. But 9 months early is a record even for Google. Now there is always the possibility that we are not looking at the Pixel 9a here, something we should seriously consider.
.Like other Pixel 9 models, the 9a is said to get a flat side. But most noticeable is still the rear camera. There is no longer a bar there (like previous Pixel A models) nor an oval island (like other Pixel 9 models).
Equal screen bezels
Should this indeed be the Pixel 9a then notice that the screen bezels are now uniform, i.e. there is no chin at the bottom anymore. Also, the SIM card would have been moved to the bottom, something Google also did with the Pixel 9 Pro.

Google Pixel 9a launch
For now, we are skeptical and await more information. It is simply far too early to make any definitive judgments about the Google Pixel 9a. Personally, we expect a May 2025 launch although the source is more likely to think late 2024. It seems strong to us but miracles are not yet out of the world.
