Android 2.2 coming to Samsung Galaxy S
Samsung has confirmed that French users of the Galaxy S get an update to Android 2.2 Froyo in September. That's very good news, because the French use the international version of the Galaxy S, which is being sold in many other countries.
The news was brought by a Samsung employee who told the French website Les Mobiles about the coming update. It means that owners of the popular smartphone can use the latest version of Android very soon. A few weeks ago, Samsung announced an update for the handset in Korea, but in that country a slightly different version of the Galaxy S is sold.
