First renders show Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7: dullest update in years
Android Headlines has just given us the first renders of the Galaxy Z Flip 7. And this shows that Samsung is running out of inspiration. In fact, the renders look identical to the current Flip 6. But mostly judge for yourself.
When we saw the headline "First look at Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7", we thought it was a mistake. In fact, we were looking at images of the Flip 6. A clamshell foldable with two cameras on the outside and a tab-shaped cover screen.

Apparently the good ideas have run out at Samsung because the Flip 7 will also look like this. Albeit slightly larger. For example, the outer screen now measures 3.6 inches instead of 3.4 inches and the inner screen 6.8 inches instead of 6.7 inches on the Flip 6.
Hope Samsung is holding something back
Now although a picture tells more than a thousand words, hopefully we are overlooking something. Perhaps Samsung is applying a new type of camera, one that can zoom. Or is Samsung applying a new type of silicon-carbon battery that is considerably larger? We hope so because this does not seem to be enough.

However, rumors speak of the same 50MP main and 12MP wide-angle camera, and possibly a proprietary Exynos 2500 processor. The 12GB of RAM memory also remains the same as well as the two choices of storage (256 and 512GB). So is the price lower? No, that too is expected to remain the same.
Less noticeable crease
All that remains is the visibility of the fold. That one did reportedly get less. But whether that's enough to convince people to purchase one, let alone upgrade from a Flip6, remains to be seen. It seems unlikely to us.
