MWC 2010: Day three........

After two very intense days the MWC is drying up, the press is getting ready to leave and the end is in sight for the standholders. What else can we find that is newsworthy?

The first days of the MWC, the annual event for all that is mobile, was focussed mainly on the big names. Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung and HTC. However, more companies are present here which need our attention. What have they got to offer? We took a look around.

Sagem Puma Phone

Attention for the cooperation between the French Sagem and Puma who have created a phone; the Samsung Puma. The back of this hip phone is supplied with a solar panel and its environmentally friendly characteristics will appear throughout the phone itself.

For instance, the Sagem Puma shows you how many messages you have sent thanks to the solar energy. Always a "feel good" moment!

Emporia Elegance and Solid

We know Emporia mainly from her simply phones for senior citizens. The brand took two new phones to; the Elegance and the robust Solid. The below Elegance is of simple design, no hodgepodge but still with an elegant appeal.

The above Solid on the contrary must be as strong as an artificial hip, but it didn't show at the stand. The only working model was 'broken' and the firmly designed cord broke after our photoshoot. This leaves Emporia with some more work to do....

T-Mobile Pulse mini

We encountered this T-Mobile Pulse mini which successes its big brother the T-Mobile Pulse. Also Android, but with an 2.8 inch resistive touchscreen and a 3.2 megapixel camera.

Toshiba TG02 en K01

Finally we found two new Windows phones at the Toshiba stand; the TG02 and the K01. As the earlier announced TG01, the TG02 runs on a fast Snapdragon processor and has quite a large screen; 4.1 inches!

Do you have the necessity for a physical keyboard next to the touchscreen, then the K01 may be worth considering. This device, image above, has a QWERTY slider keyboard. In spite of this, the device is compact; a mere 12,9 millimeter thick. Further noticeable is that the K01 has an OLED screen.
