The Samsung Galaxy A70 is a new model from the redesigned Galaxy A-series that perhaps resembles a full-fledged Galaxy S10+ the most. Feel free to call it a S10+ Lite, because for considerably less money, you can get a large smartphone with an impressive screen, cameras that are worth mentioning, powerful hardware and a battery that is even significantly larger.
Let's get some numbers first. The Galaxy A70 has a 6.7 inch screen at the front and we can't ignore that; it's very large. Even bigger than the S10+ and that is both an advantage and a disadvantage. Advantage is that you have more screen to look at, disadvantage is that you have more screen to store. Samsung applies a relatively small notch at the top of the A70 in the form of a drop. This notch is needed for the 32 megapixel selfie camera. That is a ridiculously large sensor with which you can take razor sharp photos. The f/2.0 lens ensures that even in the dark you can still take a good picture of yourself. We find the same kind of sensor on the back. The camera module consists of no less than 3 different cameras including a 32 megapixel main camera. The f/1.7 lens performs even better in the dark so that night shots are also possible. The 8 megapixel camera can be used for landscape photos. This is due to the wide-angle lens with a field of view of 123°, which corresponds roughly to the human field of vision. Is there another 5 megapixel camera for depth so you can shoot beautiful portrait photos. By separating the background from the foreground and blurring the light, the subject almost literally jumps out of the picture.
In addition to a large screen and good cameras, the Galaxy A70 offers another great advantage. Of course we are talking about its battery. In recent years it seemed to stand still in terms of development. Almost every smartphone stopped after a day. Smartphone manufacturers prefer thin phones to slightly thicker ones. Samsung seems to be fooled by that and puts a 4500 mAh large one in the A70. That is even more than in the S10+, which is the flagship at the time of launch. Samsung is now trying to distinguish itself in the renewed 2019 Galaxy A-series by larger batteries, but the A70 strikes us as the crowning glory. It is simply one of the largest batteries in a smartphone that, at 7.9 millimeters, is not even that thick. Fast recharging is also possible. Thanks to the Super-Fast Charging of 25 watts, you'll be on the road again in no time.
The Samsung Galaxy A70 ticks off even more options such as a powerful octa-core processor, plenty of RAM memory, support for Dual SIM + space for a memory card and a modern fingerprint scanner in the screen. The whole thing runs under Android 9.0 Pie with on top of that the new OneUI interface. Samsung introduced this on its Galaxy S10 series and it offers a refreshing new way of operating that is also a lot easier. Gone are all the cartoon-like icons, overly colorful screens and cluttered menus. OneUI comes clean and is optimized for phones with large screens. Something you can benefit from with the Galaxy A70. Is there nothing negative about the A70? If there is one thing we can think of, it is the lack of a waterproof housing. Despite the new 3D Glasstic design, it is not resistant to dust and water. You've been warned about this one.

Nice to hear such a camera where you can adjust the focus afterwards, but what does that look like exactly? This video starring the Samsung Galaxy A70 shows it
