The Oppo Find X5 is a 5G camera phone designed with Hasselblad. Naturally, having such an iconic name attached to you creates expectations, and here we will explore whether they are fulfilled.
To start with the critical question; what has Hasselblad contributed to this Find X5. Well, not a whole lot, to be honest. Hasselblad made some filters and calibrated the color temperature. That was about it. As far as we are concerned, Oppo leaves out the name Hasselblad because it only distracts. It is, after all, otherwise quite a good phone. And one that is nice to look at. Personally, we like the design of the X5, with its soft curves and unique camera island. Although tastes will differ. It is a pity that there is no official waterproofing.
Oppo has equipped the Find X5 5G with a 6.55-inch AMOLED panel with sharp FHD+ resolution, smooth 120Hz display, and colorful display thanks to 10-bit support. This allows for over 1 billion different colors to be displayed. The maximum brightness comes out to 1000 nits which is high enough even outdoors in full daylight. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus so it won't scratch and break easily. Inside is a Snapdragon 888 processor that handles tasks smoothly and without problems. It's a little crazy, in a way, that Oppo chooses this year-old chipset at the time of release. After all, the Find X5 is a flagship and deserves the best of the best you would think, although the 888 performs fine by the way.
On the back of the Find X5 we find a 50MP main camera with f/1.7 lens, a 50MP ultra-wide angle with 110.3° lens and another 13MP telephoto lens with 2x true optical zoom. The latter is relatively little today. Combined with the other lenses, Oppo manages to up it to 5x; hybrid zooming is called that. Fully digital you can bring images 20 times closer. Information from the cameras is processed at lightning speed by Oppo's own MariSilicon X chip. This processing power is used in dark conditions to still shoot well-lit photos and videos. The HDR function, which tackles backlight, also benefits from it. Finally, the selfie camera has 32 megapixels and is almost invisibly incorporated into a small punch-hole.

Next to its big brothers, we could easily overlook the Oppo Find X5 Lite and that would be a shame. Because the device has a lot going for it. As you can see in this video
Where the Oppo Find X5 5G really excels is in the dark. The camera captures an awful lot of light and therefore you can make beautiful videos. Something that Joana Pastrana is happy to explain to you. She made the commercial for the Find X5 series for Oppo
