The OnePlus 7T is the successor of the OnePlus 7. OnePlus normally releases a T-version of its flagship half a year later. Especially the camera has been launched. It is located in a round module and consists of 3 camera sensors. But the 7T also borrows a lot of nice features from the more expensive OnePlus 7 Pro. You can read which one and what it can do for you here.
The OnePlus 7T takes away perhaps the most important argument to buy a OnePlus 7 Pro; the smooth display. It refreshes the image 90 times every second, resulting in a lightning-fast smooth user experience. It is hard to show or explain, you have to experience it. The fact is that this makes the 7T feel like a premium smartphone. However, this 7T does have a notch at the top of the screen for the selfie camera. The Pro variant uses a pop-up selfie camera. That may look a bit more modern, but it is also more vulnerable. After all, moving parts can break down. It isn't very waterproof, something that doesn't bother this 7T.
In addition to the screen, the OnePlus 7T borrows another important function of the OnePlus 7 Pro: a triple camera. With this Triple Camera you shoot images up close, far away, in widescreen or in portrait mode. Thanks to a new macro mode you can shoot sharp images at a distance of only 2.5 millimeters. Macro photography is called that, and it's ideal for shooting flowers and insects. With the 8 megapixel telephoto camera you get images 2x closer without loss of quality. And with the 16 megapixel ultra wide angle lens you shoot wide landscapes or complete groups of people. And the usual work is done with the 48 megapixel camera with extra detail and sharpness. OnePlus has also added a night mode called Nightscape that lets you shoot without flash even in low light. The result is realistic images that were previously impossible to take with a phone.
And then there's another function that the OnePlus 7T borrows from the OnePlus 7 Pro; extra fast charging. Thanks to Warp Charge 30T, your battery is 70% full again in just 30 minutes. More than enough to last the day. So forgetting to recharge overnight is no problem. All these advantages take away the argument to go for the more expensive OnePlus 7 Pro but that's really only good news for you. The price of the 7T is considerably lower. Is there still something to complain about the 7T? We could start with the lack of wireless charging and the lack of official waterproofing. On the other hand, you get a very fast reacting device in return. Both in terms of performance and screen.
