The OnePlus 10T is a long-awaited flagship with updated looks and an even faster charging battery. OnePlus has thought long and hard about its phone strategy, which is why this 10T is different from its predecessor. How different exactly we are going to explain here.
This OnePlus 10T 5G does not succeed the OnePlus 10, as it was canceled, but the 2021 OnePlus 9. OnePlus has decided to make more distinctions between the entry-level model and the Pro edition. For the 10T, that results in the disappearance of some specifications. Gone is the alert slider, wireless battery charging capability and you can no longer record video in 8K either. If you do want that then you'll have to swerve to the OnePlus 10 Pro. Yes you read correctly, a OnePlus 10T Pro is also missing. OnePlus isn't making it any easier for us.
The OnePlus 10T 5G is all about its blazingly fast processor, lightning-fast charging, a triple camera system of at least 50MP and a hugely fluid 120Hz display. All for not even that much money. That performance is made possible by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1; a chipset from Qualcomm. With the model with 128GB of storage you get 8GB of RAM memory, with the 256GB version it's even 16GB. That doubling is worth considering. The 4800mAh battery is hard to drain but with 150W fast charging it will be full in no time, too. OnePlus simply supplies the necessary charger in the box.
The camera system on the back of the 10T consists of a 50MP main camera with OIS (optical image stabilization). Videos shoot this sensor in up to 4K. There is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with wide 120° viewing angle and a 2MP macro lens that adds little. It's a shame that a telephoto camera to optically zoom in is missing. Up front we find another 16MP selfie camera with HDR mode that allows you to take well-lit selfies even in backlight. Finally, the screen measures a spacious 6.7 inches and displays a sharp FHD+ image. Movements look fluid thanks to the 120Hz display. This allows the 10T's screen to compete well with other flagships. Only a bit more affordable.
