The Motorola Moto G10 is the new head of the G10 family. It is a relatively simple smartphone with a matching low price tag. This offers advantages and disadvantages. Which ones we would like to explain to you here.
An inexpensive phone with a 48 megapixel camera system, large battery with 2 days of battery life and a premium Qualcomm processor. That's how Motorola prefers us to summarize the Moto G10. The triple camera indeed counts a maximum resolution of 48MP but the other 2 cameras are not that useful. A 2MP macro and 2MP depth camera. It looks nice on the box but that's where it ends. In daylight the 48MP main camera performs as you would expect from it. In the dark, there is the Night Vision mode that still manages to put down some decent results.
The large 5000 mAh battery provides enough power for about 2 days. Once empty, it unfortunately takes a while before he is full again. Fast charging is unfortunately not possible because it 'only' goes up to 10W. The chosen power source comes from the premium brand Qualcomm but it is the Snapdragon 460 processor from the lower segment. The performance of this is what you would expect from a budget phone: not very powerful. Fortunately, the Moto G10 does come with a fairly modern Android version (version 11 at the time of writing) and that comes with plenty of optimizations to still make the most of it.
The front screen measures 6.5 inches and can therefore be called average. At the top, there is a notch for the 8MP selfie camera and the panel itself is of the IPS type. The results look a bit bland and because the resolution does not exceed HD+, it is not particularly sharp. Perhaps we are simply expecting too much. The Moto G-series is an entry-level series anyway, and this G10 is the budget topper. And it carries that title with verve.
