    Huawei Ascend P7 review: a recognisable phone with a unique selling point After two less successful episodes with Huawei aircraft, we now have the top model of the Chinese manufacturer; the Ascend P7. Huawei has tried to make a name for itself with competitively priced midrange devices. After two disappointing experiences with such models, it is now hopefully time for a case of 'three times is a charm'.

    The Huawei Ascend P7 proves that a flagship doesn't have to be mega large. With the Ascend P7, Huawei has put out a formidable competitor that looks premium and yet is perfectly affordable.

    Excellent display

    We find Gorilla Glass 3 glass on both sides of the Ascend P7. This makes the P7 extremely strong and resistant to scratches and other mischief. And despite the fact that the Ascend P7 looks very compact, there is a 5 inch Full HD screen inside. Because of this size, the pixel density comes out to an impressive 442! In our review we already found out that the screen of the P7 is more than fine. Contrast, detail and colors are thick fine. And if it is not quite to your liking, then there is still enough to adjust.

    Fast, faster, fastest

    Speed is kind of the thing about the Huawei Ascend P7. Inside, the quad-core processor at 1.8 GHz takes care of that. This HiSilicon Kirin 910T chip is made by a subsidiary of Huawei and doesn't deliver an unpleasant performance at all. On the road, the Huawei Ascend P7 also stands its ground. Namely, there is 4G support up to a maximum of 150 Mbit/s. Category 4 LTE is still quite exceptional, especially at this price.

    8 MP selfie camera

    The Ascend P7 is one of the first phones with an 8 megapixel high-resolution camera on the front. This is of course ideal for taking selfies. High quality selfies! You can even have multiple people in your selfie thanks to the Panorama Selfie mode. There's even a feature to make you look more beautiful. Keep those likes coming!
