Smart rings, also called smart rings, are rings that you wear on your finger and are equipped with numerous sensors. You prefer to wear them on a index, middle or ring finger. The thumb and little finger are not recommended. Which hand you wear the ring on doesn't matter. Whatever you are comfortable with.
Like a smartwatch, but different
A smart ring shares many of the same functions as a smartwatch, but is less in the way because of the lack of a screen. There are also fewer distractions as a result. It also allows for a longer battery life, of typically up to a week. A little smartwatch does need to be charged every day.

There are a number of brands focusing on smart rings, including Oura, which launched the first smart ring in 2013. Other well-known smart ring manufacturers are;
Companion app
Because of the lack of a display, it is always necessary to be connected to a phone. Most manufacturers have created their own companion app but some also sync with Google Fit or Apple Health.
Some smart rings require a subscription to use them. The Oura is an example of this. With yet others, you are not subject to monthly fees. That sometimes makes the purchase price a bit higher.
