The razr 50 ultra and edge 50 neo will soon be available in a brown color. Pantone has chosen this color variant as the color of the year 2025. This is not the first time Motorola has released its phones in Pantone colors.
'Pantone 17-1230 Mocha Mousse' reminds us of chocolate milk. Perfect for the cold days ahead, but the color also looks warm and luxurious outside of winter. Motorola is christening both the razr 50 ultra and edge 50 neo in the new color.
Motorola and Pantone have a partnership which has led to some special editions before. For example, the same edge 50 neo also came out in another Pantone color; Pantone Poinciana. And previous years we saw exotic colors like Caneel Bay, Soothing Sea and Peach Fuzz. The latter was Pantone color of the year 2024.
Previous Brown Phones
Motorola says the Mocha Mousse version will come out worldwide but in select markets. So it is still unclear if and when we will see the brown version here. By the way, brown phones are by no means new, the Desert Titanium version of the iPhone 16 Pro also looks very brown.
