Footage has surfaced showing Samsung's yet-to-be-announced Galaxy A55. The design looks very familiar; the device resembles the yet-to-be-announced S24. This means that Samsung plans on bringing the design with the flat sides to a more affordable price point.
The Galaxy A5x series is very important to Samsung. It is one of Samsung's best-selling models. It offers many desired features at an affordable price. The upcoming Galaxy A55 promises to be successful as well, given these leaked images combined with its specifications.
As is often the case with these types of renders, they originate from @onleaks and are published by MySmartPrice. Leaked factory drawings presumably lay behind the creation of these images. We see a device with flat sides, which appear to be made of matte metal. The latter is a free interpretation of @onleaks; the final result may differ.
A55 specifications
Samsung seems to release a lot of phones with flat sides in 2024. Expect the same style as well with the S24 and S24+. In addition to flat sides, the source believes the 6.5-inch screen will also be flat. Samsung is again using an AMOLED panel with a high 120Hz screen refresh rate.
Other specifications include an Exynos processor with 8GB of RAM, 128 or 256GB of storage, and a rather default 5000 mAh size battery with 25W fast charging. This sounds a lot like the A54 5G from last year. And so does the camera system, presumably consisting of 50, 12, and 5MP.
Galaxy A55 announcement
Samsung announced the Galaxy A54 in March of 2023. This makes it obvious that the announcement of the A55 will take place in the first quarter of 2024. The source thinks so, too, even claiming that an announcement is imminent. The S24 series is also thought to be coming earlier than usual.
