Crisis or not, OnePlus is working hard on its next generation flagship. Pictures of this OnePlus 9 now reach us and confirm that the camera on the back of the phone is undergoing some serious changes.
OnePlus phones excel in their screens, speed and competitive price. And even though the cameras are good, they have never reached the absolute top. OnePlus may want to do something about that with the upcoming OnePlus 9. Because instead of more, OnePlus now settles for better cameras. For example, the four camera sensors of the 8T have made room for at least 2 larger sensors.
By the way, the OnePlus 9 seems to have at least 3 cameras because below the 2 large sensors we see a smaller opening. Until now, OnePlus applied a wide angle, ultra wide angle and macro camera, a separate zoom lens remains exclusive for the Pro version. It remains to be seen whether the same story applies to the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. The fact that OnePlus wants to focus more on the camera is proven by the 'UltraShot' print on the camera module.
UltraShot
Until now OnePlus only used the term 'UltraShot' for its HDR algorithm but never printed the name on the body. Of course, in the end OnePlus can always choose to leave out the name on the final product. There doesn't seem to be a lot of other differences with its predecessor . For example, the front still has a borderless screen with punch-hole. One important difference will be the processor. The OnePlus 9 most likely uses Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 888 processor with 5G support. An announcement is expected somewhere in March 2020, one month earlier than usual.
