Today we are treated to our very first images of the upcoming OnePlus Nord N20 5G. The successor to the N10 features a new back with camera modules that are recessed. A trend we're likely to see more often in 2022.
The images below are from @onleaks and were published by 91mobiles. Onleaks gets building plans from his sources and has a 3D artist convert them into these kinds of images. He sells the result to publications such as 91mobiles. And now we look at the end result.
Clearly, the Nord N20 is going to be a lot flatter. On the back, there seems to be no rounding visible anymore. The sides are also flat, making it look a bit like an iPhone 13. Or better said a iPhone 14. Because, according to rumors, Apple is going to equip it with recessed cameras instead of a separate camera island. And OnePlus is already applying that rumor very cleverly.
Sunk Cameras
So the dual camera is no longer on a separate module, but sit separately on the back. They still stick out a bit. Right in the middle is a flash and left of that possibly a third camera to recognize depth. Presumably it is a 48MP main camera with two times a 2MP camera.
Up front, expect a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a 16MP selfie camera and a fingerprint scanner. Inside, OnePlus is rumored to be sporting a Snapdragon 695 with 5G support. On the bottom, like the Nord N10, there's a headphone port and a USB-C connector.
The source concludes by saying that the above device could also come out as 'Nord CE2' and a launch is not long in coming.
