The recently announced Oppo Find X8 Pro is coming to Europe. The device features four 50MP Hasselblad cameras on the back that have various AI features. The Find X8 Pro is also the first to feature ColorOS 15 which is based on Android 15.
The Oppo Find X8 Pro features a 6.78-inch ProXDR display with a sharp resolution of 2780 by 1264 pixels and a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz. That's neat but not exceptional. Things get different at the back where we find a circular camera island with no less than four 50MP cameras.
Sony supplies the sensors but Hasselblad has tuned them. Zooming is done by a pair of periscope cameras that seamlessly alternate between 73 and 135mm giving a zoom level of 3 to 6x. Even further zooming can be done digitally up to 60x. There is also a main camera and ultra-wide-angle camera. All four cameras have optical image stabilization whose quality is improved thanks to AI.
Touch-sensitive zoom bar
On the side of the Find X8 Pro is a shutter button and a touch-sensitive bar that can be used to zoom. Something similar was introduced by Apple with the iPhone 16 Pro. In addition to a snooze button, the device features an Alert Slider that allows switching between silent, vibrate and sound.
Oppo makes use of the processing power of the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor in the Find X8 Pro. This chipset is built on TSMC's 2nd generation 3nm process. The battery has been increased to 5910 mAh for the occasion and can still be charged with 80W fast wired charging. Wireless charging can be done with up to 50W which is above average.
Oppo will deliver the Find X8 Pro in two colors; Space Black and Pearl White. As far as we know, both colors come with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of memory storage. Oppo has updated its own ColorOS shell with Android 15. The recommended retail price is €1,149 but that will get you Oppo Enco X3i earbuds worth €149 as a gift until December 22, 2024.
