Motorola introduces new 5 megapixel device with VE66
After a slow start Motorola is introducing another 5 megapixel device; the Motorola VE66. Thanks to image stabilisator and red eye reduction flash it is a descent camera slider.
Motorola is also focussing with the VE66 on people who love music. "The MOTO VE66 gives users a more personal way of listening to music and watching videos or music clips on a mobile phone", says Tracey Koziol, chief of Mobile Devices of Motorola.
CrystalTalk
The VE66 also has the CrystalTalk technology that Motorola is famous of. This technique reduces background sound that makes the call even better to hear. A second mic is also contributing to this. Another audio function is the present FM Radio with support for RDS to receive information about the station and number.
5 megapixel
But the VE66 is mainly so great thanks to the built-in 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, image stabilisator and red eye reduction flash. And all of this can be used with only one finger on a button. Moreover, it was the ZINE ZN5 that persuaded Motorola to make 5 megapixel camera phones. The VE66 can also be seen as the slider version of the former named phone.
FastScroll wheel
Another interesting feature of the VE66 is the FastScroll button that makes it easy and simple to navigate through menus.
The internet on the VE66 is also very quick, thanks to the WiFi support. Simply log-in at your home network to surf on the internet without having to start your computer. The device also has a RSS reader to stay updated of the latest news.
The Motorola VE66 will get available this quarter, but the price is not yet known.
