The recent Facebook Mobile event made clear that there will be no Facebook phone for now, although rumour had the opposite. However, if we're to believe The Social Network movie, CEO Zuckerberg says the truth.
A few days ago, wild rumours about the content of Facebooks were buzzing around. In the end, the Event was a pressconference that was only of interest for app-developers. The company comes with and update for the API (Application Programming Interface).
Changes
Changes on the API were done on three different sides. The first is a single-sign-on, which enables users to sign in at once in multiple connected apps. The second is Deals, which gives salesmen the opportunity to give coupons to mobile facebookers. The last one in Places, a Foursquare like service.
Zuckerberg also announced some changes to the Facebook app for iOS and Android. The major update was for the Android updates, of which the functionality comes on par with the iOS version.
