Thanks to the collaboration between Android Headlines and @onleaks, we get an early look at what the Samsung Galaxy A26 should be. This still unannounced device will have a slightly different look, slightly more modern, but at the same time old-fashioned.
Virtually every modern smartphone has flat sides and so it is not surprising that Samsung also gives them to the Galaxy A26. On the back, it is further noticeable that the camera module bears similarities to recent Galaxy phones including the also yet-to-be-released Galaxy S25.
Turning the Galaxy A26 to its front, we are immediately brought back down to earth. The notch at the top of the screen clearly shows that we are dealing with a cheap smartphone. Something you see more of in the A2x series.
Thinner and flatter body
Its predecessor, the Galaxy A25, also features a screen notch, three cameras on the back and a largely plastic body. By making the cameras on the A26 stick out a bit more, Samsung manages to make the thickness of the casing smaller. Without including the cameras, the thickness comes out to 7.7 millimeters.
If previous benchmarks are to be believed that Samsung is equipping the Galaxy A26 with an Exynos 1280 chip. Other specifications are not currently available. And neither is a timetable for when the device will be officially announced.
