Not a day goes by without an S25 rumor. The message of the day is about the RAM memory of Samsung's new Galaxy S flagship. To make all the new AI features, it needs to go up. And there is news again about its possible launch date.
Like Apple did with the iPhone 16 series, the upcoming Galaxy S25 models will also get more RAM memory. This RAM memory is needed to enable all functions that lean on artificial intelligence. With this, AI is increasingly becoming the reason to go for a particular new mobile, and Samsung does not want to be left behind.
Thus, according to new rumors, the Galaxy S25 will get 12GB of RAM versus 8GB on the S24. Evidence for this rumor comes thanks to a published Geekbench report.
.Something else we can glean from this benchmark is that this S25 runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite. The Exynos 2500 is nowhere to be seen.
Galaxy S25 announcement
Another rumor about the Samsung Galaxy S25 is about the timing of the announcement. It would reportedly take place between Jan. 22 and 23, 2025. That the one report talks about Jan. 22 and the other about Jan. 23 could explain that the announcement will take place in South Korea.
Should the launch indeed take place in late January 2025, the question is which models the S25 series will consist of. Obviously from the S25, the S25 Plus and the S25 Ultra but whether we will also get to see the thin S25 Slim is unknown. Perhaps it will get its own moment to shine in the spotlight.
