The Redmi 14C, which Xiaomi announced a month ago, is coming to the Netherlands. For 149 euros clean on the hook, you get a 6.88-inch screen, a 5160 mAh battery and a 50MP AI camera. Not crazy.
Nevertheless, the Xiaomi Redmi 14C is an entry-level phone. That's not hard to see, because at the top of the screen is an old-fashioned notch. In other words, the vaunted notch. Still, it features a modern screen refresh rate of 120 Hz. Higher than the 90 Hz on the Redmi 13C.
Another thing Xiaomi has improved on the Redmi 14C is the selfie camera. It now has a higher 13MP sensor and features night and beautify modes. At the back is still a 50MP camera that gets the help of an additional sensor to recognize depth. Xiaomi's Imaging Engine will then make sure you always shoot a usable photo.
First phone with Helio G81-Ultra
Xiaomi is leaving behind the days when 5000 mAh was the limit. Inside the 14C lies a 5160 mAh large battery that can be quickly charged at 18W. What also helps is that the MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra chip does not consume much power. Xiaomi comes with versions with 4, 6 and even 8GB of RAM which is virtually expandable up to 16GB.
Available colors are Midnight Black, Sage Green, Dreamy Purple and Starry Blue. The starting price is 149 euros for the model with 4GB/128GB of memory.
