Faithful readers know that Google is very bad at keeping secrets. So we are not surprised by the product renders of the Pixel 9a that have now appeared. More striking is that these appear after we have already seen photos of the device. Fortunately, those show the same and so the source seems reliable.
The source of these product renders is a well-known one; @onleaks. This leaker turns 3D product drawings into images and sells them to the highest bidder. Once again, it is AndroidHeadlines with the winning bid and first Pixel 9a to be allowed to publish images.
All they want in return is for us to mention them, so here goes. What is striking about the Google Pixel 9a is the lack of a camera bar. Google traditionally applies those on Pixel phones, so it became something of a Signature Mark.

Gone too are rounded sides although there is still some kind of curve to be detected. Apart from the new camera layout, we don't see anything new. Google still applies relatively thick screen bezels, two cameras and a punch-hole selfie camera.
Google often announces its Pixel A model during the Google I/O event traditionally held in May. So the Pixel 9a launch is still some time away. Hopefully, until then we can find out a bit more about the device, such as specifications.
Much of this is not yet known but can be filled in. For example, the Tensor G4 chip is obvious, as is a price tag of around 500 euros.
