At breakneck speed, OnePlus keeps announcing new phones. Today it announced the OnePlus 8T; a mobile phone with a flat 120Hz display and extra fast rechargeable battery. And just half a year after the announcement of its previous flagship, the OnePlus 8.
The announcement of the OnePlus 8T wasn't the biggest surprise. The appearance of the device had been leaked weeks before and OnePlus itself even posted a video about it last week. And also the specifications were largely known, as it turns out. The 8T indeed has a flat 6.55 inch large 120Hz Fluid Display and 65W fast charging.
Also as expected, the 8T will get the same Snapdragon 865 processor with 5G support as the OnePlus 8 but this time with a quadruple camera system. For the main sensor the Sony IMX586 is used; a 48MP sensor with electrical and optical image stabilization and an f/1.75 lens. Sony announced this sensor way back in 2018 and OnePlus already used it in the OnePlus 7. With the help of software, it should shoot better pictures though, especially in the dark. Also present is a 16MP camera with an ultra wide angle 123° lens, a 5MP macro lens and a 2MP black and white sensor.
Warp Charge 65
In addition to the 120 Hz Fluid AMOLED display, the OnePlus 8T should impress thanks to its extra fast rechargeable battery. Warp Charge 65 can recharge the dual battery totaling 4500 mAh in 15 minutes. This should be enough to get you through the day. You should use the supplied charger and cable because the technology is specifically designed for the 8T
